The Rotary Club of Alford and Mablethorpe was established in 1978 and meets weekly alternating between The Bacchus Hotel in Sutton on Sea and The Manor House in Alford. Though not in a privileged area our club has a proud history of punching above it's weight and has made it's mark on the world stage as the home club of past Rotary International President, Bill Huntely. Through Rotary Bill, a teacher from Sutton on Sea, found himself meeting with people like President Bill Clinton and Nelson Mandela.

Giving Something Back

Rotary is primarily a club for people who want to 'give something back' by using the skills of their professional or trade to provide help where it is needed be it for a local or global cause. On a local level our Rotarian's deliver library books to the housebound, on a global level, Rotary was the instigator, and remains the driving force, of the effort to eradicate Polio from our planet. And there's a million projects in between!

Raising Funds

Rotary also raises funds for causes near and far and many of you will be familiar with our volunteer run barbecues which support many of our events. We are also very active at Christmas bringing Santa to the local Co-Ops, Alford Manor House, Sutton Christmas event and our Carol Concert at The Dunes.

Enhance Your Social Life

It's not mentioned enough that Rotary is also good fun. You will enjoy a weekly meal with your new friends, work in committees and groups to organise events and projects, hear from fascinating speakers and go on trips and tours that of places you didn't even know existed.

Find out more on the Rotary Club of Alford and Mablethorpe's Website and follow us on Facebook for regular updates on what we are doing within the club and within your local community. We hope you'll be so impressed that you'll want to join!
